Kids Poetry in Nature Workshop with the Hobo Poet

Join us on Tuesday 10th December

This workshop is the first in a series coming in 2025, aiming to engage the local community in a reflective and creative experience, blending nature, poetry, and storytelling. Set in the inspiring and free flow space of the community garden.
A chance to explore imagination, writing and sharing in a creative and exploratory environment, for children aged 5-11.
The workshop will nurture mindfulness, creativity, and connection with the natural world, particularly through the themes of transformation and growth, as explored in The Butterfly Farmer and The Wandering Lamb.
Thomas Delahunt aka The Hobopoet has been awarded the Times HE award for being the most innovative educator and successfully publishing his book, The Wandering Lamb. Thoomas’ research interests are the gaps between art and health. A PHD doctoral candidate, dyslexic academic, TimesHEA winner (2019) and author of The Wandering Lamb.
His books Enchant and inspire a new generation, especially those who struggle with learning or acceptance.

Recommended Age

Recommended age 5 to 11 year olds
All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

We have 3 ticket price options:

Supported ticket for £0 (for people on low income, in or out of work)

Standard ticket for £5 (for people in employment or with a steady income)

Supporter ticket for £10 ( for middle to high earners with disposable income beyond cost of living)
