May Half term is nearly upon us and we have some special workshops and groups planned, during the week we will be celebrating National Children’s Gardening weekthrough family bug hunts, Field to Fork, Seed sowing, Family cooking and so much more.
Open Gardens we will open the gardens on two special days to welcome you to enjoy the peace, bring a blanket or a picnic, arrange to meet your friends and let your children play with our garden toys. Explore the garden in your own free time. Free no need to book
Wondrous Wraps Family Cooking Join our wonderful Adriana for another Family Cooking Workshop in the Gardens! This time we will be exploring the wondrous world of wraps: together, we will make yogurt flat breads, and fill them using the very best of the spring leafy greens from our gardens alongside with some tasty additional extras (think feta cheese, radishes, seeds, nuts, etc…). Family Bug Hunt Come and find out about all of our helpful garden friends. Why do we love caterpillars in the garden, how helpful ladybirds and spiders axre and why we even like the slugs and snails! Every creature has a role and we are here to celebrate the. Our Bug Hunt will be a joyful romp through the gardens identifying our tiny friends and discovering in a child centered way how they help us in the gardens. We will explore the world of the very common garden creature through craft fun and games. Book your place here

Field to Fork During this session we will celebrate a seasonal delight, whilst we begin our exploration of the garden together by finding our star ingredient and learning the best ways to tend and then harvest. This will evolve to cooking collectively and enjoying our treat, a seasonal craft activity will also be available. We aim with this session to celebrate the local and seasonal joys of gardening and cooking and thinking sustainably whilst getting hands on and practical. Book your place here
Green Beans is a nature-based children’s group, with a structured feel, led by a member of our team. We run year round in our community garden, each session is centered around a theme which we explore through gardening, craft or cooking. Activities are especially suited to children up to 12 years old. During the school holidays we welcome siblings up to the age of 15. Book your place here
Cabbage Patch offers a wide range of activities centered around nature and our environment, with relaxed, free play and exploration. Including craft, play, story time, gardening, food based activities and singing. These activities offer scope for all ages to enjoy, to curate self led play and develop their skills in creativity and collaboration.
